Mercedes Viano Marco Polo Westfalia Camper. 3.0 V6 Diesel (Brabus) Automatic (5 seat) Rare opportunity to buy a bit of a one-off Campervan. These are factory built campers made by Westfalia who are owned by Mercedes. They are marketed by Mercedes Benz dealers and are as you would expect very expensive to buy new. This one has the upgrade V6 3.0 turbo diesel which is no longer an option and has had a few upgrades done to the power, suspension etc. Additionally, it has the proper Brabus 18” wheels (with nearly new Uniroyal Rainsports) and a stainless exhaust with quad rear pipes. All very tasteful.
The conversion is, as you would imagine, fantastic and everything is in first class condition. The rock and roll bed is electric and even has pumps to take the air out bolsters. The seat is tracked so can move backwards and forwards depending on your needs. We also have a proper factory 5th seat to match. The upholstery is bespoke leather and looks amazing. The additional seat has been done to match. The upstairs bed is a Lattoflex fully sprung double which is more comfortable than any bed I’ve slept in in any other camper or caravan. It is nothing like a board with a bit of memory foam on it. We never sleep in the bottom bed as a result.
It has all the other bits you would expect. Large fridge which can be taken out of the van if you have an awning on that side allowing you to have an awning on both sides if necessary. It also has a cooker, a grille, onboard water, central heating etc. The table is mounted on the door, so I forgot to photograph it. It is fitted with a tow bar and a Fiamma bike rack with additional lights. The main van has climate control, cruise, auto lights and wipes, Bluetooth music streaming and handsfree telephone etc. etc. The previous owner, who did all the expensive up grades, was a motorbike racer who used it to run backwards and forwards to Spain which is where it did most of its miles. He now has an aeroplane! The van has been meticulously maintained with a full service history. It will be serviced again before it goes though it has only done a nominal mileage since the last time. The aircon system has just been cleaned and recharged so she is ready for a tour to sunnier climes.
It is a rare opportunity to buy any Westfalia Marco Polo but one with all these upgrades is unheard of really. I’m not convinced I really want to sell it but having tallied my miles at 25000 last year it is probably a sensible idea.
